Coconut Water Electrolyte Blend
Coconut water is nature's electrolyte drink — it's rich in potassium and naturally sweet. This blend adds the sodium and magnesium that coconut water is lower in, creating a more complete hydration profile.
Time: 5 minutes · Yield: About 3 cups
Ingredients
- ●2 cups pure coconut water (not from concentrate — check the label)
- ●1 cup filtered water
- ●1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
- ●Juice of 1/2 lime
- ●1 tablespoon raw honey (optional)
- ●Small pinch of magnesium powder (optional)
Method
- Combine all ingredients in a jar or bottle. Stir or shake until the honey dissolves.
- Chill and drink within 2 days.
Note: Coconut water is high in potassium but lower in sodium — the salt addition balances the mineral profile. This is especially good for post-exercise recovery or hot-weather hydration. Choose coconut water with no added sugars — just coconut water.
