
Italian Seasoning
The all-purpose herb blend you reach for more than any other.
Time: 5 minutes · Yield: About 45 g (⅓ cup)
Ingredients
- ●2 Tbsp dried basil
- ●2 Tbsp dried oregano
- ●1 Tbsp dried thyme
- ●1 Tbsp dried rosemary (crushed between your fingers)
- ●1 Tbsp dried marjoram
- ●1 tsp garlic powder
- ●1 tsp dried sage
- ●½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Method
- Combine in a bowl, crushing any large pieces of rosemary. Transfer to a jar.
- *Storage:** Airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 1 year. Dried herbs lose potency over time — the fresher they are when you make the blend, the longer it lasts.
